Noelia Corzo
San Mateo County
My name is Noelia Corzo and I am proud to represent the communities of San Mateo, Foster City and Belmont. I grew up in District 2 and am deeply committed to our community. I am the product of our local schools and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from San Francisco State University that launched a career of service: improving outcomes for foster youth, community organizing for affordable housing and immigrant rights, and supporting the needs of children and adults with developmental disabilities. I am the daughter of working-class immigrants and have vast personal and professional experience with the many services our county offers.
Prior to election to the Board of supervisors in 2022, I served five years on the Board Trustees of the San Mateo-Foster City School District. I am deeply committed to equity in education and the conviction that every student deserves the educational opportunities that will help them succeed and thrive.
As our county recovers from the long-lasting impacts of a devastating pandemic, I look to elevate the voices of our community members that need representation the most. We know that women, children, and essential workers were especially hard hit by the pandemic and, as a working mother responsible for a multi-generational home, I was not immune to those impacts. Our county has done great work to meet those needs and develop a roadmap to recovery, but there is more to be done.
Our county is unique for its open space, the breadth of its economic capacity and innovation, and the diversity of its people. This is a county where all sectors, including business, education, government, nonprofit, healthcare, and religion, have historically, and continue, to come together to build a strong community.
As your District Two supervisor, I am committed to making the county a better place for ALL residents. Healthcare, public safety, transportation and safety net services know no boundaries. I welcome you to share any thoughts you have regarding how we can continue to make the quality of life better in San Mateo County.
